China, Taiwan issues storm warning |
CHINA alerted Shanghai and four coastal provinces on 24th evening that a tropical storm is expected to intensify and become the season's first typhoon to strike China.
TAIPEI - TAIWAN warns residents in the southern part of the island and nearby ships about dangerous conditions as a tropical storm approaches.
As of 24 June evening, Meari was centered 260 miles (420 kilometers) southeast of Taipei.
It had winds of 83kmh and was moving slowly toward southern China.
