Tropical Storm Meari (Falcon in the Philippines) is passing through the Yellow Sea and expected to make landfall near the border of China and North Korea.
Meari has been weakening steadily over the last day or two and is expected to come inland as either a weak tropical storm or a tropical depression.
Forecast to pass north of the Philippines' Luzon Island, pass east of Taiwan and east-central China, and make landfall in North Korea.
The storm could make landfall south of Pyongyang, North Korea, June 27.
Heavy rainfall is possible across the Korean Peninsula,Japan,North eastern China.Strong storm surge is likely in coastal areas.Gusty winds are possible in the Korea and China.
Ports will likely be closed and ferry service halted until the storm passes.
